Well-heeled women were invited to don their favorite stilettos for a short and sassy "walk with a purpose" at Neiman Marcus Houston Galleria, Saturday, April 18, 2009, to raise funds to stop breast cancer in its tracks.
As a sponsor of the Neiman Marcus Stiletto Strut, Noel Furniture donated an elegant vignette consisting of two Noel Lucy chairs in Nottingham Blush leather with stained mahogany legs, an antique silverleaf hourglass accent table, and a John Douglas painting entitled "Queen's Garden" for use in the new Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center at The Dan L. Duncan Cancer Center of Baylor College of Medicine.
The Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center is one of only a few comprehensive breast care centers in the country focused exclusively on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and breast disease, all in one location.
The 8:30 a.m. strut down the mall, followed by a champagne brunch in Neiman Marcus, drew 100 women and raised 0,000. Proceeds from the Neiman Marcus Stiletto Strut will directly benefit breast cancer research at Baylor College of Medicine.
